Life has gotten busy with the return of spring. I've been on the road almost every weekend for the past month and we have a yard that has desperately needed attention. It is a constant battle between Studio time and raking.
Having this in mind, I decided I needed a little break from the intensive creation of reduction linocuts. Instead, I'm in the process of carving a few designs that are only black and white. It's been good to stretch the simplification muscles even further. This latest print is a subject dear to my heart, a crow. I came across some old sketchbooks from high school recently and there were the crows, littered in the margins, like a medieval manuscript. Some things never change.
