These pieces were originally created for a 2024 National Day of Truth and Reconciliation observance in Cochrane AB. This composition is a highly detailed work that required hours of carving time and very sharp tools.
I have printed this work using antique printing equipment, which is a highly specialized artform that requires mechanical and artistic skill. Multi block prints need to be precisely placed in order for the images to line up correctly. All of my postcards are printed using a Chandler and Price floor model platen press using hand carved linocut blocks and vintage lead type.
The buyer will receive 3 postcards from the open edition (please note, colours might slightly vary).
