Leighton Art Centre, Calgary AB February 1, 2025 @ 10:00 am – April 6, 2025 @ 4:00 pm (closed Mondays) The Juried Members Exhibition is an annual curated exhibition, with every Leighton Art Centre artist member eligible to submit up to two of their best recent pieces for consideration. With 43 works from over 150 submissions, this 23rd annual celebration of our member artists is a fresh and exciting visual treat. Please join us for the Opening Reception on Saturday, February 8 from 1 to 4pm, artist remarks at 2pm. |

Intro to Linocut
Alberta Printmakers, Calgary AB 1 Day Workshop April 27th, 2025 10:00am – 4:00pm Course Description: In this class, students will learn the basics of linocut printmaking. The instructor will teach students about composition, safe cutting techniques and how to pull prints. Also covered will be information about choosing tools, ink and papers suitable for a wide range of projects. Participants will leave with hand pulled prints of their own design, their own carved blocks as well as the skill to practice at home using basic art materials.
